Por la misma época en que a los yankees se les ablandó (así se escribe, sin hache) el cuore, también los ingleses quisieron ayudar a los africanos con una canción en conjunto; "¿Do they know it's Christmas?" escrita por Bob Geldof (cantante inglés más conocido por ser el protagonista de "The Wall") como parte de Band Aid. En realidad, se supo después, hubo un triste destino de todo el dinero recaudado con este proyecto o con USA for Africa.
